We need to tell our children at a very early age that it is cool and smart to take care of themselves.  There is no education in schools about backpack safety, it is up to you to help decrease the risk of injury to your child.   Backpack Facts: -Over 40 million students use backpacks   -89% of chiropractors surveyed responded that they have seen patients (ages 5-18)  reporting back, neck, or shoulder pain caused by heavy backpacks. A motor vehicle accident may be the most traumatic event many of us will experience. The injuries that occur can range from minor cuts and scrapes to life changing events.
